Children will begin their day with center activities that allow them to move freely about the classroom. Morning sessions are initiated with Circle Time discussions in which the children recite the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, season/weather, and calendar (days of the week/months of the year), as age appropriate. Curriculum topics are executed in a variety of methods including lecture, visual/auditory, hands-on, arts and crafts, story time, physical activity, dramatic play centers, etc.

Afternoon sessions have a strong focus on socialization skills in which students are able to engage in more child-directed activities, such as art projects, STEAM centers, outside play, and sensory tables.

Opportunities for children to participate in large and small group activities alternate throughout the day. These forms of participation allow teachers to observe social, emotional, and educational connections made by the children with topics they have learned during the day.

we look forward to meeting you
